Rhett Smith, after growing up in Dillon, completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Corporate Communications from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. He then continued on to Northwestern Medical University where he completed his graduate work in Prosthetics and Orthotics. Rhett is certified by the Board of Certification/ Accreditation, International in Prosthetics and is Board Eligible in Orthotics.
For almost ten years, Rhett has refined his commitment to fitting amputee patients with prosthetic devices that best suit their lifestyles and individual goals. He incorporates cutting edge technologies into all of his creative designs and is certified to fit microprocessor components to provide professional, top of the line prostheses for specific activities such as running, cycling, swimming, and skiing. Rhett believes that the best way to achieve the maximum potential for the patient is to work closely with the patient’s doctors, therapists, and family. A belief and practice that is recognized and requested regularly by the medical professionals in the Lowcountry of South Carolina.
In his spare time Rhett enjoys spending time outdoors, scuba diving, playing kickball, and is involved with medical missions through several local churches spending much of his time in developing nations of the Caribbean.
