Jim Klein, CPO

James “Jim” Klein, CPO, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University in 1989 and continued graduate studies there to receive a certificate in orthotics in 1991 and prosthetics in 1995. He is certified by the American Board of Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (ABC). Jim’s commitment to continuing education is evidenced by his assitional certifications for the Charleston Bending Brace, Starband Cranial Remolding Orthoses, Surestep Orthotics and TAOS Walkers and Gait Trainers.

Jim spent over nine years with Boston Brace International working closely with both the Boston Brace International working closely with both the Boston Children’s Hospital and the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Looking to get away from the harsh Boston Winters, Jim moved south and spent the next nine years working in pediatric orthotics and prosthetics at the Children’s Hospital of Atlanta and ten years with Level 4 Orthotics and Prosthetics in Charleston, South Carolina.

Jim joined Carolina Orthotics & Prosthetics in 2016 bringing over 28 years of experience to South Carolina’s most advanced team of O&P professionals.

In the little bit of leisure time Jim has he enjoys woodworking, officiating Soccer, and spending with his wife and kids.
